Lindsay Olesberg

Scripture Engagement Director, InterVarsity

Lindsay Olesberg loves studying Scripture in community. She believes God speaks to us through his Word, and that it is an indispensable asset as we pursue our place in God’s global mission.

Lindsay has been on staff with InterVarsity since 1989, serving in various campus, area, and national roles. She currently serves as the Scripture Engagement Director for InterVarsity and Lausanne Catalyst for Scripture Engagement. Lindsay has served as Scripture Manager for InterVarsity’s Urbana Missions Conference since 2003 and led the Celebration of the Bible sessions at Lausanne’s 3rd global congress, Cape Town 2010.

A native of California, Lindsay attended Pomona College where she received a bachelor of arts in Asian Studies. She’s currently pursuing a Master of Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary. Lindsay and her husband, Jon, live in Iowa City, IA. They have two children: Michael, 19, and Mary 17.

Lindsay is author of The Bible Study Handbook, has overseen Bible study and exegesis at major evangelical gatherings throughout the world, and is currently on the board for Wycliffe Bible Translators and Servant Partners.
