The Gospel of Grace vs. the Culture of Achievement

In this talk from Mundelein 2015, Francis Su shares about the culture of achievement – one of the biggest obstacles of Shalom – and how the gospel presses against this culture. Francis specifically addresses three areas:
How he came to understand the culture of achievement as an obstacle to shalom
- Why grace is an antidote to living toward shalom
- How the lack of shalom brings opportunities to share the gospel
*NOTE: Francis has given us permission to play his talk in any setting with students/faculty. He asks that we not send the talk to anyone by email or post it on a website, due to his current status as the president of the Mathematical Association of America (MAA). Thank you for protecting the confidentiality of his remarks. We want to be good partners with Francis as he seeks the shalom of the university. If you have questions about this, contact Kathy Cooper.
