Congratulations! Your team has successfully finished Faculty Week. Here’s a guide for debriefing the week, celebrating how God has worked, and looking forward.
Trying Something New
- Begin by recognizing that your team has just finished something new. Whatever the results of the week, their work over the past week is helping to build out an initiative that will, by God’s grace, greatly bless faculty in the future (and hopefully during this past week!).
The Basics
- Start by sketching out the week for your staff team. What did your staff do during the week? Have everyone briefly share their outline of activities.
Celebrating the Week
- What was a high point of the week for each of your staff? Invite them to share stories.
- What elements of Faculty Week worked best? What felt like it blessed their ministry work?
- Where did they see opportunities for future partnership and ministry?
Workshopping the Week
- What was a low point of the week for each of your staff? Invite them to share stories.
- What elements of Faculty Week did not work well? What could be done to make the week better complement their ministry work?
- What areas need came up as they engaged faculty?
Looking Ahead
- If your team did Faculty Week again, how would they want it to look?
- How can the team use the momentum of Faculty Week to spur further relationship building and partnership building with faculty? What is a next step for the team?
- Make sure that everyone has filled out the Faculty Week contact form. If they haven’t, take a few minutes to let them fill it out.
Take Time to Pray
- Pray over the week and the people you connected with. Consider following the format on the Faculty “Teach Us to Pray” bookmark: Thanksgiving, Confession, Discernment, and Petition.
Make sure to pray over the faculty and administrators your team met with during the week!
