By Deb Clark and the Faculty Ministry Team
Do you need encouragement to reach out to faculty on your campus? Don’t miss Dr. Dave Vosburg’s testimony from SC17. In addition to great stories, he describes missional faculty as partners engaging the campus with you, praying for you and the ministry on campus. And Vosburg says you are a resource for them.
“We faculty struggle to witness on our own, but it is easier with InterVarsity staff partners.”
Resources for Faculty
- Faculty Salt: A Guide for Christian Faculty and Graduate Students. This critical resource was beneficial to Dr. Vosburg and is a good source for inspiration and ideas to give to faculty partners on campus. Available for free at the staff store.
- The Lamp Post. A semi-annual e-letter for faculty with beneficial content integrating faith and academia. Share this with faculty you know by having them subscribe online.
- Resources and articles at the Faculty Ministry website, including Working with Faculty: 9 Tips to Remember, which debuted at SC17.
- Faculty Conferences. During the summer of 2019, Faculty Ministry will host three faculty conferences. These conferences provide faculty, whether single, couples or families a place to hear from Christian scholars and step away from the busyness of campus life.
Challenge Yourself
I encourage you to set a goal of meeting with one faculty before the semester is over, be open to what new opportunities God may bring you, and anticipate with joy the partnership you can grow in on campus. We are grateful to be ministering beside you!
