Join the Emerging Scholars Network for this event co-sponsored with the Christian Women in Science and Women in the Academy and Professions. Derek C. Schuurman (PhD, McMaster University), a professor of computer science at Calvin University, is one of the co-authors of A Christian Field Guide to Technology for Engineers and Designers. We will explore how faith and work intersect for Christians who work in technology oriented fields. How can designing and using technology actually be a way of loving God and our neighbors? Click here to learn more and register.

Come and virtually walk through the streets of Assisi, Italy, as we meet the joy-filled monk, St. Francis, and see him fall in love with Jesus as he lives out the Gospel following God’s call to rebuild the church. This digital pilgrimage will include five audio-guided walks along with a video travelogue; faculty-related webinars; and, of course, at least one Italian wine and cooking workshop. Mark your calendars and consider if there are faculty, students, and others you'd like to invite to participate. Regretfully, I am writing to inform you of a decision to suspend future planning for WCFC. As COVID-19 continues to impact our daily lives, my leadership team and I had to assess the next step forward. Rather than continuing to hold on to our pre-pandemic structures, we are moving into a season of anticipating what will emerge out of this season. We trust the Spirit for what will come next as we walk alongside our valued faculty partners and friends.
