Faculty Ministry invites you to join them on one of the oldest pilgrimage routes in Europe, the Camino de Santiago, starting from your front door. Faculty Ministry & Study Abroad are partnering together to offer this 5 week digital pilgrimage, which will include a Zoom orientation and debrief, five walks with audio guides, a Facebook group for participants (we call it our faculty “albergue,” the place where the travelers meet and rest) and optional Camino-themed activities (e.g., Spirituality of Wine, Paella Cooking lessons, Pilgrimage as Spiritual Formation, etc.). We’re designing this journey for faculty, their families, their friends and those who love faculty.

The beauty and power of the Camino is that people walk for so many reasons: from meeting God in nature, to carrying a grief or burden before the Lord, to seeking direction for their life. We're looking forward to encountering God with you both on screen and off.

The essentials

  • Zoom ORIENTATION on Tuesday, June 30, at 2-3 pm EDT. (will be recorded if you can’t attend live).
  • Five WALKS (recommended 40-60 minutes) 1x week (on your own schedule, with provided audio guides).
  • Weekly emailed Devotionals  and video testimonies from friends who have walked the Camino.
  • Zoom DEBRIEF/Celebration on Tuesday, August 4 at 2-3 pm EDT (will also be recorded).

Where will the event be held?

This event will occur in a variety of spaces. Group gatherings and webinars will be held virtually through Zoom, an online conferencing platform. Individual experiences will take place where you want to walk and reflect with the help of audio guides, video reflections, and e-mailed devotions. There will also be opportunities to connect with other pilgrims through the Facebook group and a group journal.
