NOTE TO REGISTRANTS OF THE WEST COAST FACULTY CONFERENCE
Dear Registrants of the West Coast Faculty Conference,
We made the hard decision to host WCFC 2021 virtually for a second year in a row. At the time we needed to make this decision, vaccine roll out was going very slowly and less was known about what summer would look like. We planned for scenarios we had high confidence we could deliver upon in this season of uncertainty. This includes offering as many local gatherings on Saturday, August 7 as possible to allow for individuals and/or families to gather in local picnics, to meet or reunite with local participants from the conference.
We hope you will join us virtually August 2-4 and for a local gathering on August 7. And we look forward to welcoming you in person again in 2022.
Welcoming Faculty, Families, Singles and Couples
Faculty of all ages and life stages are invited to join us. Our content is designed to connect with all faculty, whether single or married. Spouses and “plus ones” are invited to attend all programming. This academic year has been unique in the different hopes and disappointments that you’ve encountered. Though we may not be able to meet in person this year, we still value the ability to connect and encourage one another in this season. We would be happy to have you join us.
Please invite your colleagues who may be interested in attending the InterVarsity West Coast Faculty Conference. Your personal invitation is one of the most effective ways to grow the network of faculty who hear and attend. Please share the link to this conference homepage with your friends and colleagues via email, social media, or in person. Thank you for helping us get the word out!
Who do I contact with questions?
Please send any questions to email@example.com and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
InterVarsity’s West Coast Faculty Conference began in 2008 when a handful of faculty and their families came together at Campus By the Sea on Catalina Island alongside an InterVarsity Alumni Camp. Faculty in attendance stood up and presented talks to one another and a vision for an annual conference was born. In our 10th year we moved locations to Westmont College in Santa Barbara in order to accommodate more families and our growing needs. In the last five years, the conference has involved 134 faculty from 72 different campuses and institutions.
We look forward to resuming our in-person conference in 2022 at Westmont College in Santa Barbara.
