2020 Conference Recap

On February 21 and 22, New York City welcomed Christian MBA’s and professionals with spring-like weather as they gathered on the Upper West Side to discuss their role in business and how they can be change agents for God. The theme of the 15th Annual Believers in Business Conference - “Connected: to God, to One Another, and to The World” - provided a forum for honest discussion on opportunities, challenges, and strategies for following Christ in the marketplace in ways to help them grow in their relationship with the Lord and impact others.  InterVarsity Christian Fellowship is deeply grateful for the many speakers, donors, prayers, and the student planning team.

Here are a few snapshots from the gathering:

• 268 MBA students and professionals
• 37 schools represented
• 16 speakers and panelists
•  Overall satisfaction in feedback survey was high (two-thirds extremely/very satisfied)

A few participant comments capture the ways that God was at work through the conference:

• Really enjoyed all of the keynote speakers. Appreciate transparency and story…so powerful in proving the necessity to be connected to GOD.

• It was great to hear how people's relationships with God change over the seasons and learn about their lives as example of endurance and courage through trials and tribulations.

• Hearing the speaker's stories and ways they live out their Christian faith in work and life was so helpful and insightful; encouraging that it’s possible to be a believer in business and still have success for His Kingdom.

• I enjoyed the worship a lot - it's always uplifting to worship with brothers and sisters from around the world, to see the unity we have in Christ. I also enjoyed many of the keynote speakers who shared their testimonies and how Christ worked throughout their life and their work.
