An entrepreneur, Gary Ginter has been involved in starting, growing, selling, or closing over 25 businesses in the past 40 years. Among these ventures, Gary helped to build two options trading firms that became world leaders in significant market niches. One firm sold to NationsBank for more than $300M, and the other to Goldman Sachs for around $500M.
Gary and his wife have been married for 52 years. Together they have four kids and 14 grandchildren. For the last 43 years, Gary and his family have been living in an economically marginal part of Chicago’s Westside, where they are actively learning about and participating in racial reconciliation through their church, Rock of Our Salvation Evangelical Free Church.
