Faculty Events

Equipping God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. (Ephesians 4:12-13 NIVUK, adapted)

By virtue of who we are and where we serve, we can be a redeeming influence on campus. Empowered by God, we can help in God's redemptive work amidst the people, ideas, and structures of higher education. In our role as InterVarsity's faculty ministry team, we are committed to supporting you through resources and events held throughout the year.

Faculty Ministry Summer Conferences

Midwest Conference

Be encouraged and equipped as faculty to live out God's mission on campus. Our faculty conferences offer excellent opportunities for growth to singles, couples, and families. We will participate in:

  • engaging discussions (in groupings of various sizes)
  • hearing from people with long history and involvement in higher education
  • personal reflection and prayer
  • networking, collaborating, and much more...

Please consider joining us at one of these three regional summer conferences. Follow the links below for more information.

The importance of these events in the lives of faculty:

"I have decided this faculty conference is a necessity in my life. I especially appreciate the encouragement of meeting and worshiping with other faculty members and families who are seriously invested in God's word and work."

Local and Regional Events

We offer local and regional events, such as faculty symposia, lectures, and

reading & discussion groups. Please check this page periodically for events in your area. If you are hosting an event please click here to share that information with us.

The Midwest Faculty Symposium on The End of the University? is an example of one of our area/virtual events. You may view the presentation by University of Cincinatti president, Santa J. Ono, PhD, on the Emerging Scholars Network blog at this link: Christian Engagement in the Renewing of Higher Education.

Ongoing Events

Join, or help create, a faculty fellowship near you for prayer, Bible study, reading and conversation. These gatherings often meet bi-weekly or monthly, and offer an opportunity for you and others to grow as a redeeming influence on your campus. We believe that every faculty member benefits from being part of a community fellowship!

Resource Links

Find an InterVarsity faculty community near you. If there is not a faculty group near you, an InterVarsity Graduate Student chapter in your area may also include faculty members. Our faculty ministry team is here to help you find a group or even help you start a new one. If we can help, please let us know.
